Please be patient as we go through design works for our community. We appreciate all of the support you have given us!

UGC 10 Beta! - by Justin P. Reese, 10/18/02

I apologize if I gave you a heart attack! Man, this is really something. We're moving right into UGC version 10, but right now, the current project is a beta, which means we will soon be adding future tweaks into the website. As you may have noticed, this page is no longer the primary page. All of the announcements will be under the news section, click that button on the top frame. Thanks for all of your support!

Skipping v9.0, going straight to UGC X! - by Justin P. Reese, 9/15/02

Well, it's been decided. Due to popular demand, we're getting ready to go straight to UGC version 10, and we'd like to call it "UGC X." Not only will we have many of the great features we have now, but new special features will be added as well. What are they? You'll just have to wait and see.

ATTENTION MEMBERS! We can't do this without your help! UGC Thanks every single member who has helped and supported us over the last 2 years trying to keep this service alive for gamers around the globe. We'd also like to thank corporations whom have helped us become. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't be here today.

Our messageboard service, ezBoard, has a certain requirement for Gold Community. With each hit we receive, it becomes more difficult for us to maintain the Gold Community, unless you are an ezSupporter. If you're ezSupporter, this helps decrease costs in maintaining our community, because each hit an ezSupporter member makes to teh board, does not affect the costs of our Gold Community. In addition, you can donate to our Community Chest to help our messageboard services, so that we may give you better service. This is completely optional, but without your support, we wouldn't be here!

Also, if you need to buy some stuff for school, work, or college, please check out the UGC Store at CafePress! It is located at http://www.cafepress.com/ugcstore. The profits go directly toward services at UGC for our members.

In addition, we also take PayPal donations, if you have a PayPal account. UGC is PayPal certified, and in order to donate to our paypal services, use the email address justinreese@earthlink.net. That is UGC's core Earthlink address (Earthlink is the service provider of this domain), and it is also my primary email address. Again, the donations go toward improving our services for members of UGC.

UGC would also like to give our condolences to the families and friends who have been affected by the September 11th tragedy.

Thanks for being a member at UGC! We are working very hard to try and improve our services for you!

UGC planning to upgrade in the near future... - by Justin P. Reese, 9/4/02

Just to let our members know, we plan some really significant changes for UGC version 10, and we'll begin under version 9 by providing an easier interface to work with. We understand it is difficult for members using the common 800x600 and 1024x768 resolutions to view this webpage, so, we're going to create a frame at the top of the page with a single navigation image, in which you may surf to any part of this site. In addition, this page will no longer be the default. Instead, it'll be a secondary page and the ezBoard will take it's place as the default. You may toggle the frame on and off for easier viewing. This should make smaller monitor users a bit more comfortable when they view our website.

I have also found a new collection of MIDIs which will soon be implemented in our jukebox for even more options of great audio entertainment when you view our website. Many of you have suggested MP3s, which in my personal opinion would be a good idea...however, this site lacks the space to host the MP3s and the bandwidth, I'm sorry to say. But we will count it as a possible future option when this site grows.

Thanks for visiting UGC, and Happy Gaming! :)

UGC Store is finally open! - by Justin P. Reese, 8/15/02

Yes! The UGC Store @ Cafe Press is finally open! We have a wide range of items for you to choose from, clothing, accessories, tote bags, mice, coffee mugs, and baseball caps. Lots of neat stuff! Everything there is now realy for UGC 9.0, but you may shop there now if you wish. The URL is http://www.cafepress.com/ugcstore/. Check it out!

Monthly updates... - by Justin P. Reese, 8/1/02

First off, it's a new month, and for us Minnesotans, and perhaps the rest of the US, August is the hottest month of the year. And have we got some hot news for UGC!

Kosherdude got voted this month to be star member! Congratulations! Kosherdude and Fish Guitar made a suggestion to implement a new forum to help people with their daily issues, and we thought this would be a good idea, so a new forum called "Interrelations Help and Assistance" has been opened. Thanks for the great idea!

Also, Mr. Garrett has contacted me, and he's currently working on the new images for the new UGC Store, which should open pretty soon. There you can buy great UGC products from CafePress! The proceeds will go to UGC's business account and help improve services.

Also, our "I hate your platform" forum has been renamed to "Console Debates," and will be used for reviews of videogames and consoles, and to help people decide on what to buy, and see if a videogame is actually worth the money. We will check for reviews at many gaming websites, show news articles, and give our own personal opinions. This should help your gaming experience to be a more pleasureful one.

UGC EzBoard's 2nd Anniversary! - by Justin P. Reese, 7/12/02

Well, I am pleased to announce that today is UGC's 2nd anniversary! In 2 years time, we have accumulated over 500,000 unique hits, 1,191 members, 102,022 posts! Thanks to every member for being a part of the Ultimate Gamers Community!

On a side note, I will be in College for the next 18 months, so my attendance to this site will go down quite a bit. Patrick Dowling, our Executive VP, will take charge of the messageboard, Jon Tilden, and Shane Simmons will be the Head Administrators. You may contact them at the following addresses if you have concerns:

Jon Tilden (Fyre Ball), fyreball@ultimategamers.org
Shane Simmons (Milliena), OptManager@ultimategamers.org
Patrick Dowling (patrickmd21), patrickmd22@ultimategamers.org

Updates slowing down at the moment... - by Justin P. Reese, 6/29/02

ezBoard has given UGC some exceptional updates, and incredible new features, so we've booted the version number to 8.5b1, as a beta, it will be all of our jobs to check for any potential problems, but so far, everything looks pretty cool. I got back from my vacation to see that ezBoard has been affected by some sort of bug, which, fortunately, did not affected UGC at all. Other boards were affected, so UGC will help out other boards as needed. We're still working to improve our services, if you'd like to donate, please do. Our PayPal account is verified, and you can also donate to UGC's ezBoard for feature improvements. We're taking ideas, and whatever you can think of. Our ideas for improvements forum is a bit on the slow side, so we could use some suggestions there. But on the plus side, UGC is about to reach 500,000 hits! Yay! Thanks to everyone for being a big help and being a part of UGC! :)

BTW, we are taking more applicants for UGC alliances. Not all applicants will be accepted.
We are also looking for some fresh new MIDI mixes for our jukebox. If you have some MIDIs that you'd like to contribute, please do. If you're a composer, and would like to make your own MIDIs, that's cool. Again, not all submissions will be accepted. MIDI submissions will be virus scanned and converted into Quicktime files.
PLEASE USE APPLE QUICKTIME TO VIEW THIS PAGE AND IT'S CONTENTS PROPERLY.

If you do not have Quicktime, please download it at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
Apple is looking for beta testers for Quicktime 6 as well.

The board changes will show themselves. I won't give detail, I'll let you all be surprised. :)

Updates slowing down at the moment... - by Justin P. Reese, 6/18/02

Well, first off I'd like to congratulate our star members for May and Jubne, The Dark Sayian and SRx71! Congratulations guys! They've shown UGC alot of respect, which is why pour team believes these two dto be deserving of the title.
On a side note, UGC's been working through some glitches and stuff, editing images, moving around data, and provideing additional hosting for our partners. Along with that, the costs are increasing. It is becoming more difficult to find the funds necessary to keep UGC up. So I ask that if you like UGC, and want to help improve it's contents, please donate to our PayPal account at justinreese@earthlink.net. Thanks!

WE DID IT! - by Justin P. Reese, 5/22/02

Alright! UGC has gone through some MAJOR SERIOUS UPGRADES in the last day or so. First off, UGC has upgraded it's servers to a new platform, thanks to Earthlink Business Hosting, for no increase in fees! We'll have better service, better response time, and more uploading space! Wow!

Secondly, Jon Tilden our ezBoard Cheif Support Manager and HTML specialist, has teamed up with UGC's Web Administrator, Daniel Garrett. We're working on some new fixes, as well as some new designs for UGC v8.0. Go check it out!

Furthermore, it may take a month, yes, a month, to have the images prepared for UGC's Store at CaféPress. We're about ready to promote our store, and we have alot of fantastic stuff to choose from! The profits made will go toward improving our services.

Another thing...did you know that UGC has made more than 10,000 hits a day? I was shocked when I found out, so it seems to me that our counter is inaccurate! I have no way of knowing UGC's total hits as of now, but I do know we're way past 400,000 as of this date! Sweet!

Thanks to everyone who has helped UGC! And thanks to the members for being there for us! And thanks to you, we're now at Level One of the Diamond Web Awards! Keep those votes coming!

UGC has a new sidebar! - by Jon Tilden, 5/11/02

Hello, everyone. With all of UGC's accomplishments, Justin and I have decided on creating something new for UGC. It's a new sidebar feature on the messageboard, which sorts all of the material from the messageboard out, and reduces scrolling time dramatically for smaller monitors. The sidebar should organize priority content and be much easier for UGC's members to navigate. The Administrators will be displayed on the sidebar, and the Star Members will be featured here as well. We're working on adjustments currently, but we believe everything will turn out really cool. Feel free to contact me or Justin if there are any problems. Thanks.

UGC 1000 MEMBERS! Applicant for the Diamond Web Awards... - by Justin P. Reese, 5/11/02

HALLELUJAH! We did it! The Ultimate Gamers Community is at our goal, 1000+ members before our second aniversary. This is just incredible! One of our Mods, FyreBall, will become our 10th and final Administrator for UGC. Way to go! And Thanks to all of the members for supporting UGC! We will also apply for the EzBoard Community Showcase to see if we can bring in an additional array of traffic.

The next news, our Executive VP Patrick has applied us for the Diamond Web Awards. UGC has already became a winner of the Golden Web Awards, and we think we can take this site to the next level.

A new member has joined UGC Alliances, "THE Dave" he calls himself, is the owner of the Clown Keep Entertainment Software Developers website. His ezBoard is brand new, and his company works on building new videogames, and he would like to have members come and visit his EzBoard to tell him what your interests are and what you're looking for in videogames.

This week has been looking terrific! Keep up the great work, guys! Thanks for visiting UGC!

Some new updates...and time restrictions - by Justin P. Reese, 5/5/02

Well we've made several updates. The recently added UGC Jukebox has a few more MIDIs to choose from. I think I've rid of the pathetic MIDIs that sounded very strange. If you have any MIDIs that you want to contribute to me, please email me. If you are unable to make file attachments, then the form and post a link to the MIDI that you would like to see added to UGC. Note that not all submissions will be accepted.

Secondly, upon request, we've added two new forums, The Anime Atrium and The Card Games battlefield. The first forum speaks for itself, it's a place to discuss Anime, which has been become widely popular in the past few years, and has become an economical part of videogames and television. The Card Games Battlefield is a place to discuss many card games like Pokemon, Duel Monsters from Yu-Gi-Oh, and Magic the Gathering. You may act out Mock Battles there (no cheating!), and discuss strategies on becoming a better duelist.

Aside from those two updates, I have an unfortunate announcement to make. Because of certain issues beyond my control, updates to UGC may go down for a while. This has to deal with expenses and time, which are currently being ran short of. I will do what I can to help maintain this site and keep it intact. A few of you may not know, but we are also a hosting site for many other messageboards out there.

Some good news! We are 29 members away as of this update from getting to 1000! Thanks to al of the members of UGC who have helped us in obtaining out goals! Be aware that I am watching the boards, I'm currently looking for a Golden Star Member to join the highest of ranks at level 500, higher than any other member. What's it about? It's a secret...

UGC Jukebox 1.0! - by Justin P. Reese, 4/20/02

WOOHOO! This is gonna be sweet! UGC and this website with assistance from one of our UGC Security team, FyreBall, and I have designed a new Jukebox! 25 MIDIs to choose from to play in the background while you surf! This will be the beginning of UGC 7.0, and our site version 2.0! We'll be sampling other MIDI's to add to the jukebox later, but right now, enjoy the music! My favourite picks are Coolness and Very Kewl.

I want to thank one of our UGC Members, Golden Sun 51, for giving us this great idea! Thanks man!

Some updates and a cup of coffee... - by Justin P. Reese, 4/19/02

Well, a few changes has been made to UGC. We've added a few more emoticons or "smileys" tot he mix, giving a greater range of options for those who want to express their emotions with a small smiley icon, hence, "emoticon." Some are wondering what that roaring Simba from The Lion King videogame is doing there. It's just for fun. And I like Simba. What's wrong with that?

As of today, I'm announcing a new level for Star Members. GOLDEN STAR MEMBER is a member that is personally chosen by me once a year to bear the Golden Star Member title. I will base that person on their behaviour, how they respond to others, helpfulness, and making sure they're not polishing my apple, not concerning themselves with post count, and making sure they follow the rules. With those qualifications met, I will award that one person Golden Star Membership and 12 MONTHS of CSC for free! Pretty cool, huh?

Also, the ranks at UGC have been given a new 3D style effect, should be more appealing now. We've had alot of positive comments and we really appreciate it!

Finally, the messageboard version will now be displayed on the website, look at the bottom of the navigation bare. That tells you when the last updates were made, and what version the website and UGC is. Why aren't the numbers together? Well the simple reason for that is this website is a few years younger than the messageboard.

Oh, one more thing. Some graphical changes were made to the website, giving it a more uniform look, and The Elite Crews forum now has a new banner abd background.

BTW, Daniel, our Web Co-Admin is currently working on new images for UGC @ CafePress. It will be some time before we roll out new products. Thanks for your patience.

I'm going to have a cup of coffee, I'm exhausted!

UGC Alliances - by Justin P. Reese, 4/16/02

Today, I'd like to add a small update to the UGC Alliances. A new videogaming messageboard called "Critical Gaming" has joined up with the UGC Alliances! It's a brand new Gaming EzBoard and it looks promisng. The new ezOP there is March Mayhem, and I wish him a personal welcome. Please visit Critical Gaming here at http://pub65.ezboard.com/bgamerzfantasy2002.

Oh, by the way, if you notice any images broken, any links not working or any malfunctions whatsoever, please contact me using the contact link on the left side of your browser window. Thanks for visiting UGC!

Messageboard gets a makeover...again! - by Justin P. Reese, 4/15/02

Well, I'm proud to announce Ultimate Gamers Community Messageboard version 6.5! We've made MANY...and I mean MANY major cosmetic improvements. First of all, we've added new ranks, and you can go to http://www.ultimategamers.org/ranks.html To check them out, one of them being Supreme Gamer, after Ultimate Gamers, level 140. And at level 500, a new rank to which I can personally award a member for being absolutely fantastic and my thanks to their dedication, which will be held anuualy, the Golden Star Membership award! If they get that reward, not only will they have 12 months of CSC for free and access to the Elite Crews, but they will have my personal attention and whatever they wish from me. The ranks have also got a 3D look to them now, they're not so flat. I toiled over 7 hours on these ranks, so I hope you like them!

Other parts of UGC is that the Elite Crews, Gotta Nuke Somethin', Area 51, and The Unknown Room also had background changes. The Elite Crews got a new logo! So those of you who have over a thousand posts can go see that.

Oh! One more rank I forgot to mention. Those who get over 5,000 posts will raise their level up to the highest automatic level at 375, which is ECHH. You can see the ranks page for more details.

It's been a hard days work, but hopefully it will pay off. Thanks to the members for their support! We couldn't have done it without you!

Contact Page Repaired. - by Justin P. Reese, 4/4/02

On a small note, the contact page has been repaired. After contacting the hostmaster, we've found out the CGI script that was used for the contact program was faulty, so I've been provided with a simpler script. This one works better.

UGC Alliances growing! - by Justin P. Reese, 4/2/02

Two sites, one ezBoard and one website, have joined the UGC Alliances. Nintendo Fans was recently added to UGC. If you're a fan of Super Mario Bros., I recommend you visit this ezBoard. It's pretty cool!

Also, if there are any other gaming web administrators or gaming messageboard admins, please contact me at webmaster@ultimategamers.org.

Other updates are currently being made, and our store is still under construction.

Thanks for visiting UGC!

Two updates in a day...whew - by Justin P. Reese, 3/30/02

Fyre Ball, one of our Moderators at UGC, decided to have his board, Studio 64, to become an Aliance Member of UGC, so he has also been added to the UGC Alliances. Other small updates has been made to the Sonic Codes Section as well. I keep getting requests for more Sonic Codes, so I keep updating that.

UGC Online Store! - by Justin P. Reese, 3/30/02

Well, I'm proud to announce that UGC will open a new products store at CafePress real soon. Daniel Garrett is creating UGC's new logos for the products. There you can buy mousepads, coffee mugs, t-shirts, sweatshirts, long sleeves and more! It's going to be a bit as we resize the current design images. Right now, logos can only be printed 2 inches high because of the dpi image restrictions. The store is located at http://www.cafepress.com/ugcstore. All profits made from the store will go toward improving our services for our members.
Secondly, we've changed the UGC aliances again. A new member,. Duo Otaku has been added with his ezBoard, "Gamers' Alley," to replace one of the other boards, which, unfortunately has been locked down due to ezBoard Service Agreement breech. UGC wasn't responsible for the lockdown. A reminder if you do join the Alliances, you are still responsible for your community.
That's all for now, and thanks for visiting UGC!

Some minor changes, and a new Messageboard URL! - by Justin P. Reese, 3/26/02

Well, to start off version 1.0.1, just two updates. First, many are still looking for my famous archive of Sonic the Hedgehog codes. These are sep[erate from UGC, but the link for them is http://www.ultimategamers.org/Codes/ Everything from Sonic 1 to Sonic Battle!. Secondly, you may now access our ezBoard by typing ultimategamers.org/forums or ultimategamers.org/forum in your location area. This should be much easier to remember. ;)

Website updates made, UGC version 1.0 is done! - by Justin P. Reese, 3/19/02

Well, so far, so good. UGC 1.0 is completed! I took a look at some of the links in the Alliances, and it seems one of the boards has been locked down by ezBoard...so it's been deleted. Sorry Ry Guy...ezBoard made me do it! I'm sorry!

Patrick Downling's messageboard, The Game Realm, has teamed up with UGC and is part of the Alliances. As you may oir may not know, Patrick is the Co-Owner of UGC, and is the Cheif Administrator on our messageboard, so it was only fitting to have his board become part of the Alliances.

Another new member of the Alliances, a company who has helped us gain alot of our game codes, Cheat Code Central. Cheat Code Central contains some of the biggest selections of codes and GameShark codes for Playstation, XBox, GameCube, Dreamcast, and even has codes for many DVD Videos! Pretty kewl, huh?

That's it for my announcements, thanks for being part of UGC!

Major changes made, other changes in progress. - by Daniel Garrett, 3/18/02

Web Site updates are currently in progress. From numerous requests, we have worked out the bug on the left side so that users with smaller monitors can scroll down. Much of the content has been changed as well as a new color and image scheme to match the messageboard. We hope it looks better!

Justin is also planning some additional updates for UGC, and he will keep you informed. Right now we are also working on the email program, it seems there are certain script difficulties at the moment. We are working hard to fix these bugs, so don't hesitate to contact us if you need anything. Justin will answer his email more often than me, so contact him first. His email is webmaster@ultimategamers.org.

Thanks for visiting UGC!

Minor changes made, major changes underway. - by Justin P. Reese, 3/15/02

Today, I would like to honor a new member of UGC Alliances, a small business called "Planet Games." planet Games is a retail video game and trading card distributor with knowledge in all sorts of videogames, including PC games. If you would like to know more about them, please visit http://www.planetgames.com/index-about.shtml I've personally visited their store in Coon Rapids, MN, and it's pretty cool. You can even sell or trade used or new videogame equipment.

In other news, Daniel Garrett will be making a final attempt on a new site design, but because of certain limitations with school and work, these updates may be postponed. :( Yeah, I know.

Meanwhile, our messageboard is doing extremely well, we're almost at 900 members, and I've decided to sign up UGC for the Community Showcase again, will we reach our goal of being in the EzBoard Community Showcase twice? Who knows? The members! We depend upon our members for support to our company, and I personally would like to thank each and every member that has visited UGC.

Right now, I'm pursuing college, so I may not be online as often as I want to. Struggles of a personal nature may also restrict my online time, but my Co-Administrators will be there to help you if you need anything.

Thanks for visiting UGC!

Updates will be a while... - by Justin P. Reese, 2/26/02

I've received several emails from our visitors that this site is rather difficult to visit when using the 800x600 resolution, and in some cases, the 1024x768 resolution. We're sorry about that and there will be fixes on the way, but it's going to take some time. We are still in the beta stages of our website production.

Also, 3 new members have been added to the UGC Alliances! Hopefully, the boards within our ezRing can have their ezOP's contacted to add their boards to UGC Aliances.

And on another note, we're working hard to find you codes, cheats, tips, hints, and tricks for your favourite videogames! Just come by our messageboard, click on the forums button to your left, and you'll be transported to UGC. There, you can register for a global ezBoard account, if you don't already have one, post your questions, and we'll get you answers! It's that simple. We have over 830 members and it's been alot of fun working with all of our members and our friends at Sega, Nintendo, Sony, Microsft, and many others. We strive to get you what you deserve! So just remember to have fun! :)

UGC Alliances Notice - by Justin P. Reese, 1/29/02

UGC Alliances are ready to go! What is UGC Alliances? Click the Alliances button on the side of this page. There, you will see lists of websites, and fellow Video Gaming ezBoard, along with corporation gaming sites, to provide you a "internet hub" of valuable resources to search for the information on any videogame you need. In addition, click on the Forums button to take you to our own videogaming messageboard. There, you may ask questions about any videogame and get answers. Have fun!
UGC ezBoard Upgrades - by Justin P. Reese, 1/24/02

ezBoard has announced to me that they will be upgrading the networks for version 6.5 of ezBoard, these upgrades will improve performance and will release teh brand new ezBoard Master Account programs, which will allow you to register multiple global accounts, and link them to your main account, known as the Master Account. This will allow you to share CSC User benefits to each account, maintain post count, and keep the same email address in each account. More feature explainations at EzBoard.com
Random Bug Squashing - by Justin P. Reese, 1/18/02

UGC right now is in preparation of undergoing some cosmetic improvements, changes to other pages, and possibly some other improvements. Right now, I am aware that the email program is malfunctioning, and will be repaired as soon as possible, so for now, email me at webmaster@ultimategamers.org. New information has been posted in the legal page, so please read carefully.

Also, UGC Alliances are under way right now, and for those who have websites concerning videogames and such may contact me about having their site placed in the UGC Alliances. NOT ALL SITES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Additional news, UGC's messageboard has surpassed 750 members! Woo-hoo! (We'll be looking back on this a year later and think...gee...) We've also hired a new Moderator for our messageboard, he goes by the username of "Fyre Ball," and has a bit more of ezBoard experience than I do, so I think he will be of great help to us.

That's all for now, thanks for visiting UGC!

Official Launch of UGC! - by Justin P. Reese, 12/26/01

Well, http://www.ultimategamers.org/ is finally open! Please forgive certain webpages which are currently under construction. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas this year, and we wish you all a Happy New Year! Surf carefully, there might be some unknown bugs. Please be sure to visit the Ultimate Gamers Community, click the Community button at the left side of this page. Happy Holidays!
